Reduce Utility Bills

A friend of mine recently posted on facebook about how she got her monthly utility bills reduced by $80 a month. First, she called her phone company and stated that she is thinking about leaving and just having a cell phone only to save money, and they worked out a deal that saves $25 a month. Then she called her cable company, and talked to them all about their different cable packages and found one more suited for her family that was $10 less a month. She called her water company, and figured out that for a family of 5 she should be allotted more water than a family of 4 would be (which is what they were billing her for). That should save her some money too. I was so impressed by this. It is annoying to talk on the phone to utility companies, but all that waiting and button pushing would be so worth it if it could save our family $80 a month! I’m going to gather all our utility companies’ phone numbers and get on this.
